Christmas Party & Pajama Day

We decorated cookies at our Christmas party. The kids loved putting the icing, candy, and sprinkles onto the cookies. Don't they look yummy!
On Thursday we had pajama day! We wore our pajamas and went caroling.
Have a wonderful Christmas Break!

December 2-6

Our letter this week was J. J is for Jellyfish.
We read "The Gingerbread Baby" by Jan Brett. We liked how at the end of the story Madi baked a gingerbread house for the gingerbread baby. We colored our own gingerbread houses for the gingerbread baby to live in.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in our classroom. The kids love decorating the tree in the dramatic play center.
Santa even sent an elf to watch our class and report back to him each night.
Speaking of Santa...look who came to visit!
We had a great week!

November 18-22

We had another busy week in Pre-K.

We had a special assembly this week, the Native American dancers came and performed for us. They did an awesome job. We loved their costumes and learning about the different types of dances.

During literacy center time we have been using QR codes to listen to Thanksgiving stories.

During art time we made turkeys.

We had a special feast with the other pre-k classes. The children got to go around to each teachers classroom and participate in a Thanksgiving themed activity. In our classroom we learned that popcorn was served at the first Thanksgiving. We enjoyed watching the popcorn pop and eating it. Yum!

We had a great week!

A look at our week...November 11-15

On Monday we celebrated Veterans Day! We had an assembly and marched in the parade.

Our letter of the week was H. We learned to recognize H and the sound that it makes.

Thanks to a grant from the Clinton Public Schools Foundation we got new styluses to use with our IPads. The kids loved them!

We had a great week!
